The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple projects within our Sasol Gas operations. The ideal candidate will have the
proven ability to manage several pipeline and mechanical teams simultaneously, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, budget, and
client satisfaction. This position requires a highly organised, proactive leader capable of turning awarded orders into successful project
outcomes — from mobilisation through to close-out
Job Requirements:
• SACPCMP Registration – Professional or Candidate Construction Project Manager(Pr. CPM or C.CPM)
• Minimum 8 years’ project management experience in pipeline, gas, or mechanical construction.
• Proven record managing multiple concurrent projects with distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of pressure piping, fabrication, welding, installation, and testing (small bore to large bore).
• Working understanding of Sasol Standards, NEC contracts, and PER compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and structured reporting systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple live projects across Sasol Gas facilities (Secunda, Sasolburg, Boksburg, Komatipoort, etc.).
• Review client orders and scopes, plan and schedule execution activities, and align resources accordingly
• Lead and chair kick-off meetings and coordinate all stakeholders for project start-up.
• Develop and maintain MS Project schedules, resources plans, and execution programs
• Maintain strong daily and weekly communication with Sasol representatives, ensuring transparent reporting and early issue
resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Sasol’s SHE, PER, and QA/QC requirements at all times.
• Drive team performance to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Compile and submit Job Cost Estimates (JCE) and Job Completion Certificates (JCC) accurately and on time.
• Manage projects budgets, forecast costs, and monitor profitability and hit rates.
• Submit monthly reports on JCE hit rate, execution speed, quality , and safety performance.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative client relationship and promote NNC’s reputation for reliability and compliance.
