In commemoration of Youth Month, New Nation Construction donated a mobile projector and projection screen to Sitintile Secondary School in Lekazi, Kanyamazane. A Proud Legacy That Continues to Inspire
Principal P.J. Mr. Khoza proudly shared the history behind Sitintile Secondary School. He explained that the name “Sitintile” means “We are not going anywhere.” The name reflects resilience, determination, and a commitment to standing strong through every challenge.
Established in 1977, Sitintile Secondary School is one of the oldest schools in the Kanyamazane area. Over the years, it has built an outstanding reputation for academic excellence and leadership.
The school has produced many respected individuals who continue to make meaningful contributions both nationally and internationally.
Among its distinguished former learners are:
- Vusi Mona, who served as Deputy Director-General in the Office of the Presidency.
- Dr. Thulani Mngwenya, renowned as the doctor for Bafana Bafana.
- Many other former learners who studied overseas, excelled in their professions, and achieved success in various national competitions.
The principal also celebrated one of the school’s latest achievements. Grade 11 learner Sinenhlanhla Sikhulile Nkosi proudly won the 2026 South African Youth Water Prize. This remarkable accomplishment demonstrates that Sitintile Secondary School continues to nurture excellence and develop future leaders.
His message reminded learners that they are part of a proud legacy. More importantly, it encouraged them to believe that they, too, can achieve greatness.
